In a landmark event attended by the Mayor of the Municipality of Gjorce Petrov, D.med Medical Hospital marked the inauguration of its polyclinic with a focus on advancing kidney care. The occasion shed light on critical issues surrounding kidney health, including the pressing need for cadaveric transplantation in Macedonia.
Dusko Gjorgiev- president of the association for kidney patients, Nephron, highlighted the challenges faced by those awaiting kidney transplant and commended the initiative of the hospital to provide quality haemodialysis and all-round care for patients in Skopje – North Macedonia.
Elena Babalj Banskolieva, the hospital’s medical director, emphasized the clinic’s commitment to providing top-notch dialysis services, following German-quality standards and personalized patient care.
“We are happy that such events are organized in our Municipality, which raise awareness among the people about the fight against hypertension. In cooperation with the health institutions in the Municipality of Gjorce Petrov, including D.med Medical, we will launch an initiative to organize other activities for the prevention and control of other chronic diseases as well”, said Aleksandar Stojkoski, the Mayor of Gjorce Petrov Municipality who was also in attendance.
