What You’ll Do
- Develop scalable backend servicesfor real-time medical device communication.
- Build and optimize cloud infrastructureon AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud to support secure medical applications.
- Implement event-driven architecturesleveraging Azure Event Hub or other message brokers.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC)using for automated cloud deployments.
- Optimize CI/CD pipelinesusing to ensure smooth, automated software releases.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications.
- Implement advanced security measuresincluding encryption, PKI authentication, and API Gateway security best practices.
- Ensure regulatory compliancewith HIPAA, MDR, GDPR, and FDA cybersecurity standards in cloud operations.
- Monitor and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate with firmware engineers, cloud architects, and product ownersto integrate backend services with the medical IoT hardware.
- Design and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutionsto support mission-critical healthcare applications.
- Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, and architecture discussionsto drive continuous improvement.
Your Profile
- 5+ years of experience in backend development and cloud engineering.
- Strong experience in Microsoft Azure Cloud, including Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Storage, Event Hub, and Service Bus.
- Solid expertise in at least one .NET language(preferred C#) backend services and Python.
- Proficiency in DevOps tools and automation, including Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, and Kubernetes (AKS).
- Expertise in API development, including REST, GraphQL, WebSockets, and MQTT.
- Knowledge of security best practices, including Entra ID, IAM, encryption, and compliance with HIPAA, MDR, FDA, and GDPR.
- Experience with microservices architecture, event–driven systems, and distributed computing.
- Strong understanding of container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, or Azure Container Apps.
- Experience in monitoring and observability with Azure Monitor, Grafana, ELK stack, and Prometheus.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written); German or Spanish is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device software development (e.g., IEC 62304, ISO 13485 compliance).
- Familiarity with IoT architectures, including edge computing and device security.
- Knowledge of AI/ML deployment in healthcare (Azure Machine Learning, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
